Trust is at the heart of the tribe. Here’s exactly how we handle the information you share with us.
1. Overview
This Privacy Policy explains what personal information Wonderful Women Tribe (“WWT,” “we,” “us”) collects through wonderfulwomentribe.com, our RSVPs, membership applications, payments, and gatherings — and how we use and protect it. The short version: we collect only what we need to run the tribe, we never sell your information, and you can ask us to see, correct, or delete it at any time.
2. Information we collect
Information you give us. When you RSVP, apply, pay, or get in touch, we may collect:
♥ RSVPs — your name, email, phone number, party size, the names of any guests you bring, and dietary notes.
♥ Membership applications — your name, email, phone number, city or ZIP code, occupation, how you heard about WWT, what you hope to get from the community, and anything else you choose to tell us.
♥ Payments — handled by Stripe. Your full card details go directly to Stripe and are never stored by WWT; we receive your name, email, billing ZIP, the amount paid, and payment status.
♥ Messages — anything you send us by email or social media.
Information collected automatically. Like most websites, our hosting provider records basic technical data when you visit — such as your IP address, browser type, device, pages viewed, and the referring site — to keep the site secure and working well.
3. How we use your information
♥ To confirm RSVPs, plan headcounts, and send event reminders and updates.
♥ To share dietary needs with venues and caterers so we can look after you.
♥ To review membership applications and welcome new members.
♥ To process membership fees, guest fees, installments, and refunds.
♥ To send the member newsletter, community announcements, and occasional news about upcoming gatherings and retreats.
♥ To improve our website and events, keep our community safe, and meet our legal and accounting obligations.
4. How we share it
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for targeted advertising. We share it only as needed to run WWT:
♥ Service providers who work on our behalf — including Stripe (payments), Vercel (website hosting), and the email, form, and customer-relationship tools we use to manage RSVPs, applications, and newsletters. They may use your information only to provide their services to us.
♥ Venues and caterers — your name and dietary notes, only for the event you’re attending.
♥ Fellow members — your name and anything you choose to share in our private groups or an approved spotlight.
♥ Legal reasons — when required by law, or to protect the safety and rights of our members and others.
5. Cookies & analytics
Our website uses only the essential cookies and local storage needed for it to function — for example, remembering details you’ve typed into the RSVP form. We may use privacy-friendly, aggregated analytics to understand which pages are visited. We don’t use advertising cookies or allow third parties to track you across other websites from our site. You can clear or block cookies in your browser settings at any time.
6. Photos & member spotlights
We photograph and record our gatherings for our newsletter, social media, podcast, YouTube, and website. If you’d prefer not to appear, tell us at check-in or email us and we’ll make every reasonable effort to leave you out and remove existing images on request. Member spotlights are always opt-in, and you approve what’s published before it goes live.
7. Your choices
♥ Emails — unsubscribe from newsletters and updates using the link in any email. We’ll still send essential messages about RSVPs, payments, and your membership.
♥ Your details — ask us to update or correct your information at any time.
♥ Private groups — leave our Facebook or Instagram communities whenever you like; those platforms’ own privacy policies also apply there.
8. Your California privacy rights
California residents have rights under the California Consumer Privacy Act, and we’re happy to extend these rights to everyone in our community:
♥ Right to know what personal information we hold about you and how we use and share it.
♥ Right to delete personal information we’ve collected from you, subject to certain legal exceptions.
♥ Right to correct inaccurate information.
♥ Right to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information — though we don’t sell or share it for advertising.
♥ Right to non-discrimination — using any of these rights will never affect how you’re treated in the tribe.
To make a request, email
info@wonderfulwomentribe.com with the subject “Privacy request.” We’ll verify your identity by confirming details we already have and respond within 45 days.
9. How long we keep it
♥ RSVP details — up to 24 months after the event, so we can plan future gatherings.
♥ Applications not accepted — deleted within 12 months.
♥ Member records — for the length of your membership plus three years for tax and accounting purposes.
♥ Dietary notes — used only for the event they relate to and deleted within 90 days after it.
10. Security
We use reputable, encrypted services to collect and store your information, limit access to the people who need it to run WWT, and never store full payment card details. No method of transmission over the internet is completely secure, but we take reasonable steps to protect what you share with us and will notify you if a breach affects your information.
11. Children
Our website and services are intended for adults aged 18 and over. We don’t knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe a minor has shared information with us, please contact us and we’ll delete it.
12. Changes & contact
We may update this Privacy Policy as WWT grows. When we do, we’ll change the effective date above, and we’ll notify members by email about material changes.
